News from Avengers : End Game

News & Rummers about Avengers :endgame

Adrift in space with no food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to dwindle. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers -- Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Bruce Banner -- must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies for an epic showdown with Thanos -- the evil demigod who decimated the planet and the universe.

The biggest surprise involving how Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer might spoil Avengers: Endgame has everything to do with the MCU timeline moving forward. Just because Far From Home is a sequel to Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame doesn’t mean it actually happens right after.

Long ago in June 2017, Sony executive Amy Pascal told Fandom, “we are starting now [Spider-Man: Far From Home] which will start a few minutes after [Avengers: Endgame] wraps as a story.” Back then, neither film had an official title, so Pascal spoke in more vague terms, but we can only assume the confirmation holds that Far From Home begins almost immediately after Endgame.

However, while that might still be technically true, it also might be a slight case of misdirection. After all, the previous Spider-Man movie, Homecoming, starts in 2012, a few days or weeks after the Battle of New York from The Avengers — when Peter Parker was only 7 years old. Then, it jumps forward eight years. (Don’t mind the continuity error of Captain America: Civil War taking place in 2016.)

The Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer, featuring Peter Parker in the flesh and not as a bag of dust, confirms what we’ve expected from the moment it happened – Thanos’s Snap will not be permanent. The question has never really been “if” the Avengers will bring back half of the universe, it’s “how.” How will Earth’s mightiest heroes deal with the Great Dusting in Endgame? Here are five ways they might, and when, and what each would mean for the MCU.

STOPPING IT YEARS EARLIER

The Mad Titan’s hunt for the Infinity Stones started long before Infinity War, during a time when the Avengers and Guardians briefly possessed various stones themselves. Rather than try to stop an overpowered Thanos after he already has a couple, like in Infinity War‘s first scene, the best way to prevent the Snapture might be to go back years earlier, possibly when the Avengers had them. That idea fits with the theory saying Doctor Strange locked everyone into a time loopgoing back to at least Age of Ultron.
The ramifications of this would be huge, though. It could alter everything that happened in the MCU, a butterfly effect for the whole franchise.

rummer about spider man far from home...

Rummer about spider man far from home...

The character of Spider-Man has been around since the ‘60s, and he doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. Over the years, the character has continued to stay relevant in comic books and continues to get multiple video games and movies.
On the video game front, Insomniac Games recently released Marvel’s Spider-Man, which allows players to swing through New York as their favorite, friendly neighborhood hero. As for movies, Spider-Man is currently being played by actor Tom Holland in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Holland’s last appearance as Spider-Man was in Avengers: Infinity War, where Thanos seemingly ended the character’s life. That being said, Spider-Man will be making a comeback with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse - which is not part of the MCU - this December. However, Holland is expected to return for Avengers 4 in May 2019 as well as July 2019 for Spider-Man: Far From Home.
While the movie is less than a year away, fans still don’t know much about iy besides that Holland is returning as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and that Jon Watts is returning to the director's chair.
Along with Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Baralon, and Marisa Tomei have been confirmed to be returning. With an unknown plot and there being little other news about the movies, rumors are spreading like crazy as to what will and won’t be in the film.
Here are the 10 Theories About Spider-Man: Far From Home We Hope Are True (And 10 We Hope Aren’t).

20 HOPE IS TRUE: DIFFERENT AVENGERS WILL APPEAR

Giving Spider-Man his own solo movie was a strong move for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it made sense why Iron Man would be somewhat included in his film.
After all, Tony Stark was the one to give Parker his upgraded Spider-Man suit and even the Iron Spider outfit in Avengers: Infinity War. Tony was basically Peter’s mentor in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
However, director Jon Watts sparked rumors that other Avengers might appear in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
When Screen Rant asked Watts which heroes Spidey might interact with in the sequel, the director commented that either Captain America or Black Widow would be an interesting dynamic for the sequel; however, he joked that Peter may be too nervous to talk to the latter.

19 HOPE ISN’T: SINISTER SIX WILL BE FORMED

In the mid-credits scene for Spider-Man: Homecoming, viewers see Adrian Toomes walking through prison before he is stopped by Mac Gargan, aka Scorpion.
Gargan tells Toomes that he has some guys on the outside who want to harm Spider-Man, which hints at the iconic Sinister Six team.
Since the first movie set up this villain-based team, some are theorizing that Spider-Man won’t just have one villain in Spider-Man: Far From Home, but will take on the entire Sinister Six.
While fans have been wanting to see the Sinister Six on the big screen for years, now isn’t the right time. The MCU hasn’t set up enough of Spider-Man’s villains yet, and trying to introduce several key villains will just make the movie overstuffed.

18 HOPE IS TRUE: JAKE GYLLENHAAL IS MYSTERIO

Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio in Spider-Man
Even though Mysterio has been announced as the villain for Spider-Man: Far From Home, an actor has yet to be cast.
Mysterio is famous for his green suit, purple cape, and of course his giant fishbowl-like head.
Mysterio’s real identity has changed over the years, but the first person to don the costume was Quentin Beck. Beck worked in Hollywood as a special effects wizard and stuntman prior to becoming Spider-Man’s foe.
Back in May, it was revealed that Jake Gyllenhaal was in talks to play the villain, who will also be the movie's main antagonist.
An actor short-list for the character has yet to be revealed, which has led many to believe that Gyllenhaal has been cast even though nothing has been officially announced yet.

17 HOPE ISN’T: SPIDER-MAN WILL MEET THE FANTASTIC FOUR

With Disney buying out 20th Century Fox, it is only a matter of time before Marvel begins to incorporate the X-Men and Fantastic Four teams into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
That being said, there are rumors that the Fantastic Four may have already been incorporated into the MCU.
Some fans have theorized that since the Stark Tower had been sold in Spider-Man: Homecoming, the building might be renamed as the Baxter Building for Spider-Man: Far From Home.
A subtle reference like this might be fine, but some people think that Spider-Man might even encounter the members of the Four, which would be a mistake for the movie.
Introducing the Fantastic Four will happen eventually, but they don’t need to be crammed into Spider-Man: Far From Home.

16 HOPE IS TRUE: IT WILL CONNECT TO VENOM

Tom Hardy as Venom and Marvel Spider-Man
It has been known for a while that Sony is keeping their Spider-Man movie series separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
That being said, it has yet to be seen if this is a good move or not since their first movie, Venom, has yet to be released.
Even though executives from Sony and Marvel have both denied that Venomwill crossover with the MCU, fans are hesitant to believe them.
Producer Amy Pascal had once let it slip that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man might one day appear in a Sony-produced Spider-Man movie, which made many think that the MCU will one day crossover with movies like Venom and Silver Sable.
Again, Pascal and Kevin Feige have since denied this, but it’s still rumored that Venom could somehow connect to Spider-Man: Far From Home.

15 HOPE ISN’T: IRON MAN WON’T APPEAR

Director Jon Watts has hinted at Avengers being included in Spider-Man: Far From Home; however, a report came out in June 2017 that Iron Man would not be returning for the sequel.
That being said, many people believed that Iron Man would be destroyed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, but that ended up not happening.
While reports are claiming that Robert Downey Jr. won’t be in Far From Home, it seems unlikely that Tony Stark wouldn’t be in the movie at all.
Iron Man has had a close relationship with Peter Parker so far, so completely taking him out of the movie could be a mistake.
After all, people were worried that Spider-Man: Homecoming would basically be Iron Man 4, but Stark ended up having a very small role in the movie, which ideally, could also happen in Far From Home.

14 HOPE IS TRUE: SPIDER-WOMAN WILL BE INTRODUCED

Spider-Woman being introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe may seem like a long shot, but there are legitimate theories as to how this could happen.
First of all, back in January, it was announced that Marvel and Sony were casting a femme fatale, which led some to believe that Jessica Drew could finally make her big screen debut.
There is also the fact that Spider-Woman made her comic-debut in London, which has also been confirmed as a filming location for Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Lastly, with Spider-Woman having a background with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. and Samuel L. Jackson being confirmed for Spider-Man’s sequel, it seems as if now would be the perfect time to introduce the character.

13 HOPE ISN’T: MORBIUS AND BLADE WILL SHOW UP

Morbius beating Spider-Man
Back in July 2017, it was rumored that Morbius and even Blade might show up in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The rumor started when We Got This Covered sat down with director Jon Watts to talk about the Spider-Man sequel.
In responding to the possibility of having Morbius be the villain Watts said, “The tone of the character is pretty dark, but the vampire/Marvel Universe thing is pretty cool. Maybe we could get Blade to show up, too? That’d be neat.”
Since Sony is moving forward with their own Morbius solo movie starring Jared Leto, his inclusion in Far From Home seems unlikely.
As for Blade, a character this big should really get their own movie before being crammed into another superhero’s film.

12 HOPE IS TRUE: GWEN STACY WILL APPEAR

One popular rumor surrounding Spider-Man: Far From Home is that the character Gwen Stacy will be introduced.
The character was the first love of Peter Parker before Mary Jane Watson in the comic-books and was previously played by Bryce Dallas Howard in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 and Emma Stone in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The rumor pertaining to Gwen came at the end of 2017 when audition tapes started leaking online of young women auditioning for the role of Gwen Stacy.
It’s also rumored that the character won’t be the Gwen viewers are used to and will be reinvented in Far From Home.
If she is included in the sequel, her origins might be changed to her being a foreign exchange student, which would stay true with the current attempt to change up the Spider-Man movies.

11 HOPE ISN’T: MS. MARVEL WILL BE INTRODUCED

There are many villains and heroes rumored to be making their way into Spider-Man: Far From Home, and one of those heroes is Ms. Marvel.
Ms. Marvel, aka Kamala Khan, has polymorph powers and is considered to be an Inhuman.
Ms. Marvel being introduced in Spider-Man’s sequel is a bad idea for more than one reason. First of all, if Ms. Marvel were to be introduced, people would likely be confused since Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson as Carol Danvers is being released in March 2019.
Secondly, introducing a brand new superhero could make her introduction feel rushed since the story is still going to have to be primarily about Spider-Man.

10 HOPE IS TRUE: NUMAN ACAR IS CHAMELEON

Spider Man Far From Home - Numan Acar Chameleon
Even though Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 suffered from having too many villains, Spider-Man: Homecoming was able to include five of Spider-Man’s foes.
The primary villain was Michael Keaton’s Vulture, but Shocker, Tinkerer, Prowler, and Scorpion all made minor appearances. That being said, the movie only briefly featured these villains, ensuring that Vulture was the main one terrorizing Spider-Man.
Spider-Man: Far From Home will more than likely do this again, and some think that Numan Acar has been cast as Chameleon.
Even though Mysterio will be the movie's main villain, it would be interesting to see Chameleon have a small role in the movie since he was Spider-Man’s first ever villain in the comic books.

HOPE ISN’T: NICK FURY WILL MENTOR PETER

Captain Marvel Young Nick Fury
Nick Fury has been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever since he appeared in the post-credits scene of Iron Man in 2008.
Samuel L. Jackson’s character has continued to make appearances in the Marvel movies with a varied level of involvement in each film.
Samuel L. Jackson looks to have a big role in the upcoming Captain Marvel and he has also been confirmed to be making an appearance in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
While having more of Samuel L. Jackson can never really be a bad thing, having Fury be Peter’s mentor will seem redundant given his role in Captain Marvel.

HOPE IS TRUE: LIZ ALLAN WILL TURN INTO FIRESTAR

Firestar has always been part of the X-Men, but she is also a common Spider-Man character. While the character originally goes by the real name Angelica Jones, Liz Allan became Firestar in Ultimate Spider-Man #118.
Liz Allan played a big role in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Not only was she the love interest for Peter Parker, but she was also the daughter of Adrian Toomes, which provided a big twist during the climax of the film.
At the end of the movie, Allan moves out of town with her mom, which she thinks is completely unfair. Introducing Liz Allan as Firestar could not only be an interesting way for the character to return, but could be the first piece of slowly integrating X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

HOPE ISN’T: MICHELLE WON’T TURN OUT TO BE MARY JANE

For comic-book fans, one of the most exciting parts of Spider-Man: Homecoming was when Zendaya’s character Michelle mentions that her friends call her "MJ."
MJ, of course, are the initials and nickname of Peter Parker’s most famous love interest: Mary Jane Watson.
While people concluded that Michelle was in fact Mary Jane Watson, Kevin Feige was quick to point out that this wasn’t the case. As Feige explains, “giving her the initials that remind you of that dynamic certainly is intriguing about what could go forward.”
That being said, some fans still believe that Michelle will turn out to be Mary Jane. Giving Zendaya’s character the initials of MJ and then not making her Mary Jane seems like it would just anger fans more than anything else.

HOPE IS TRUE: J. JONAH JAMESON WILL BE INTRODUCED

J Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man
J. Jonah Jameson will always be one of the most iconic characters in Spider-Man’s history. The character is famous for hating Spider-Man and thinking that he does more harm than good for New York.
J.K. Simmons last played the character in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy and the character was also hinted at in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
While Peter doesn’t usually meet Jameson until he is in college, Spider-Man: Far From Home could be a good way of showing Peter growing up and getting a job that isn’t crime fighting by introducing Jameson.
This would also be a great way to introduce one of Parker’s longtime passions; photography.

HOPE ISN’T: J.B. SMOOVE WILL PLAY J. JONAH JAMESON

JB Smoove J Jonah Jameson
While it would be great to see J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man: Far From Home, there is only one person who should really play the character. That being said, J.B. Smoove is currently rumored to be portrating the character.
Smoove, who has recently been in Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Real Husbands of Hollywood, has been cast in Far From Home, but he should not be given the role of J. Jonah Jameson.
J.K. Simmons played the role flawlessly in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy and he has even said that he is open to returning for other Spider-Man movies that don’t involve Raimi.
Even though Simmons is playing Commissioner Gordan in the DC Extended Universe, he still seems open to reprising the role. Why not hire him and give J.B. Smoove another role?

HOPE IS TRUE: PETER WILL STILL BE IN HIGH SCHOOL

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man series is the third version of the character movie-goers have seen in recent years.
Both Sam Raimi’s and Marc Webb’s movies showed Peter Parker graduating high school and moving on to college, but Jon Watt’s movies seem to be focusing on a younger version of Parker.
This has seemed to work good so far for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and there is really no need to change it.
There are plenty of adult superheroes in the MCU and keeping Peter in high school adds a dynamic to the films that fans won’t see in any of the other superhero movies. For the time being, it seems as if Peter will stay in high school and that's okay with us.

HOPE ISN’T: IT WILL HAVE TOO MANY VILLAINS

Spider Man Far From Home Villains
Both Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 suffered from cramming too many villains into their movies. Adding more than one villain usually tends to make a superhero movie feel rushed and cramped, since there are multiple storylines that have to be introduced.
That being said, there are multiple villains being rumored for Spider-Man: Far From Home including Molten ManHydro Man, and Chameleon.
While Spider-Man: Homecoming seemed to do alright including multiple villains, one can’t help but worry that the sequel will try to rush into the Sinister Six storyline and in turn, ruin Far From Home.
Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 both had this villain problem and the rest of their movies were canceled. Hopefully, Watts won’t make the same mistake.

HOPE IS TRUE: SHURI WILL REPLACE IRON MAN

Shuri was one of the most lovable characters in Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther. The character, played by Letitia Wright, brought a comedic element to the movie as well as a relatable storyline for anyone who has a brother or sister.
Shuri was also included in Avengers: Infinity War, where she was tasked with removing the Mind Stone from Vision’s head.
While Iron Man may not return for Spider-Man: Far From Home, some are thinking that Shuri will replace him. Shuri sees to be just as intelligent as Tony Stark even from a young age and she could mesh nicely with Peter Parker.
Tom Holland has even said that he would like Shuri and Peter to meet in the movies since he and Wright have become friends in the last year.

HOPE ISN’T: LIZ ALLAN WILL BE THE GREEN GOBLIN

Laura Harrier as Liz Allan in Spider-Man Homecoming
While some people think that Liz Allan could return to the MCU as the mutant Firestar, others think she could be the MCU’s Green Goblin.
With her father imprisoned and the fact that she has to move away at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Liz has some obvious reasons for not liking Spider-Man. That being said, making her become Green Goblin seems a little far-fetched.
Although the MCU is trying to change certain elements of the Spider-Man movies, making a change this drastic probably won't go over well with comic book fans.
Even with her father being one of Spider-Man’s greatest foes, the motivation for Liz to become a version of the Green Goblin just isn't there.
